Farm Wedding Central Coast – Rustic Glam – Patrick & Raquel

Patrick contacted me about photographing his farm wedding on the central coast about one year ago. He was a groomsman for Jet & Olivia whose beautiful wedding we photographed in 2016. When he told me I had 100 acres to work with including horses and French Bulldogs I was like where do I sign!
These guys had put so many hours into preparing the property for a wedding and they did such a great job. When we arrived the boys were still running around getting all the last minute details
done while the girls where doing hair and makeup they too were making place cards and writing seating plans for the reception. The ceremony was setup in one of the horse paddocks running down alongside the house with the marquee reception setup in the paddock behind. We seriously had the most amazing light to work with during our bridal party shoot. That shoot also included Raquel’s three fur babies that followed us around and feature in nearly every photo too. To end the shoot Raquel got one of her beautiful horses out for photos with just the two of them. Could I be any more excited lol, a horse and a bride and groom do go very well together. Thank you guys for one epic day on your beautiful property x

Peppers Creek Barrel Room Wedding – Hunter Valley – Kristy & James

Peppers Creek Barrel Room

Here is a beautiful sneak peek for James & Kristy who married at Peppers Creek in the hunter valley. I had never met James & Kristy before their big day as they both live and work in Melbourne. After a few emails back and forth Kristy booked me without hesitation. Meeting them for the first time on their wedding day was like catching up with old friends. They welcomed us into their lives like we were part of the family. We started photographing Kristy getting ready at Chateau Elan, she was so chilled and relaxed and just so excited to be walking down the aisle in a short time. The ceremony was at Peppers Creek in the gorgeous little rustic chapel. Here we met James and waited for Kristy to arrive. Victoria Langham ran a beautiful service and tears were streaming all around.  After the ceremony we stayed onsite for photos before heading into the Barrel Room for the reception. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing day with us, and we loved the food! x

Newcastle Jockey Club Wedding – Blake & Jessica

Newcastle Jockey Club Wedding

Jessica & Blake married at the Newcastle Jockey Club in town last weekend. The love story started with a night out on King Street. Their romance blossomed and here we are today photographing this gorgeous couple. It was a first for me shooting at the Newcastle Jockey Club. I loved their marquee reception and that we got to go out on to the actual track for photos. Everything was there so we didn’t have to travel anywhere. The ceremony was on the grounds in a stunning green setting surrounded by large manicured fig trees. Amy Logan ran a beautiful service and actually had the guests pledge a vow which I loved. Jessica your smile was intoxicating, I loved capturing all your special moments. Thank you so much for having us x

Mulla Villa Wedding – Wollombi – Byron & Sharmayne

Mulla Villa Wedding

I am really loving these country weddings. This time it was up to Wollombi for a Mulla Villa Wedding with Byron & Sharmayne.  I had photographed her brothers wedding just like last weekend. It really is the biggest compliment when you become the family photographer.
It was a super HOT day in Wollombi. I’m sure when Byron & Sharmayne booked Mulla Villa for their wedding they weren’t expecting such high temps in mid March. With guests using umbrella’s as shade during the ceremony and then being able to retreat into the cow shed for drinks everyone made it through the day comfortably.

One thing that blew me away was all the detail work that Sharmayne did.  Starting over 1 year ago she made everything herself from the flowers to the decorations to hand pressed confetti and even her own hair piece. WOW! I was blown away with all the pretty details, all her hard work and late nights paid off and the whole day just looked professionally styled. But it didn’t stop there, Byron handmade both of Sharmayne’s rings including a stunning copper box to hold them. There was also a handmade knife given as a gift from Byron’s best man which was used to cut the cake with. How Cool! Thank you Byron & Sharmayne for a sweaty but fabulous day x

Glenworth Valley Weddings – A Valley Wedding – Stephen & Maree

How amazing are Glenworth Valley Weddings!

I have to say I was pretty excited when I received an email from Maree. She was asking if I was available for her Glenworth Valley wedding. I had photographed her brothers wedding not long before and they were so thrilled with the photos she got in touch straight away. I’ve known the property at Glenworth Valley for years. I started riding there when I was little and actually bought my first horse from the owners. So I couldn’t wait to shoot there knowing all the beautiful locations and lighting available it’s a photographers heaven.
Our day started with all the prep photos of both Stephen and Maree. Both of them were in separate cabins at the top of Glenworth Valley. The boys cabin overlooked the agistment area of Glenworth. While the girls cabin was nestled into the hillside surrounded by beautiful bush.
The ceremony spot was set up in the big paddock down in the valley. Guests were coached in and it wasn’t long before Maree was walking down that aisle to her husband to be Stephen. After the beautiful service held by Jacqueline Hatch everyone made their way over to the Valley Events Center for the reception. As the guests lined the balcony 200 horses came running past. They had ‘The Horses” playing on the balcony as Maree & Stephen twirled and danced in front of them while the herd ran by. What a moment seriously 200 horses running free at your wedding! How awesome! We then slipped away for some more photos around the stunning property.
During the evening events we were supposed to head off after the bridal waltz. However I knew there was going to be some awesome Greek dancing to come. So we stayed a little longer just to capture it all. Wow guys what a day. Thank you so much for the opportunity to capture all your beautiful memories. x

Bombi Wedding McMasters Beach – Daniel & Erin

A Bombi wedding kicked off the wedding season for me and it went off with a bang. What is a Bombi you ask? Well it’s a fabulous new property available for hire in Macmasters Beach. Erin & Daniel fell in love with the place and their wedding was actually the first one on the property. The ceremony was held just outside the main house with a stunning marquee reception just a couple of steps in the other direction. The beach wasnt too far away so after the ceremony we headed down to Putty Beach to do photos on the stunning rocks. During the reception Erin’s 89 year old Opa came out of retirement for a Solo performance on his saxophone. The crowd went wild as he smashed out Swing the Mood by Jive Bunny. I later found out that he was quite a famous Saxophonist back in the day in Holland. He had stopped playing about 7 years ago due to arthritis in his fingers. He wanted to play at Erin’s wedding so he practiced everyday for 5 mins in the led up to the big day. After that Erin took center stage with her speech ending with singing Raise you Glass by Pink! The crowd went off! Seriously what an honor to have experienced this amazing day and the opportunity to capture it through my camera. x
