Bella Photo Art Update

Not sure if anyone noticed but I have been MIA (missing in action) for the past couple of months. I’ve been taking the time to enjoy my quiet season and using this time to switch off and grieve for the loss of my mum. She passed away on the 6th of May. It was a very big shock as she had been traveling along so well with her melanoma treatment. It was hard enough loosing Dad but for a daughter to loose her mother … well there are just no words. Thank goodness for this stunning ray of sunshine in my life now, my little princess Veronika, who has kept me sane and moving forward. No matter how upset and miserable I was one smile from her and all my worries melted away and she just turned 6 months old. I can’t believe how quick she has grown it’s been the most amazing adventure I have ever been on.
I also cant wait to get back behind the camera again, well not that I haven’t been I’ve probably taken a million photos of Veronika but you know what I mean. Wedding season starts early in August and I’m super excited!

Veronika Violette

So I mentioned that I had some exciting news to share and here she is. The newest member of our Bella Photo Art family and our little princess Veronika Violette.
I’m actually writing this post on her due date but she couldn’t wait to meet us by arriving 4 weeks early. I was super blessed with the most amazing, quick and drug free natural birth which ladies I put down to the following. My totally out of this world super duper Doula Julia MacLeod, lots of Yoga, eating dates and a must read book, Birth Skills by Juju Sundin & Sarah Murdoch.
We are so totally smitten with our little cherub and as you can imagine this mumma can not put the camera down.

Also a big thank you to the very talented Rainee from Cloudnine Photography for the absolutely amazing photos of our little girl. I booked her in as soon as I knew I was pregnant, so if you are in need of a newborn photographer make sure you check her out.

Bella Photo Art is expanding and will be growing by one in the coming year but more on that later.

2014 – What an awesome year it was!

I almost have to pinch myself when I say 2014 is almost over! What a year it’s been and I have to say a truly amazing one. A year that has filled my heart with so much happiness and joy and as I go through all the beautiful pictures I have captured all I can do is smile. Below I have put together just a couple of my favourites from 2014.
A big thank you to all my clients, friends, family and vendors for allowing me to be part of your wedding day. So many beautiful moments are now fond memories that I will always cherish in my heart. You’re love and support means so much to me. I wish you all the best for the new year and I am super excited and looking forward to see what 2015 brings. Bella x

Paris France Photo Shoot – Destination Wedding Photographer

Here is the first and possibly one of my favourites posts from our trip. As soon as I planned my Europe holiday I also planned two photo shoots. One for Russ and I and one for me. This was a dream of mine that became reality. What photographer wouldn’t want to photograph a bride in one of the most romantic cities in the world. Especially in a designer couture gown supplied by the fabulous Kel from Kel Leigh Couture. Online I found Nancy Dee the perfect model for my dress and just as beautiful inside as out. Lexi De Rock did all the styling for the shoot with hair and make up to suit. We then headed out to the streets of Paris.
Paris! I couldn’t believe it I was so excited, I had a skip in my step, what an opportunity. We were very lucky after weeks of rain and cold we had a break in the weather that even included the sun breaking through right at the perfect moment.
I want to thank a few people for without them this would not have happened. Nancy De my fabulous model, Lexi De Rock for the spectacular hair and make up and my hubby Russell for carrying every thing and putting up with me during and the months leading up to the shoot. THANK YOU. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I do.
