Weddings at Anchorage Port Stephens
I first met Matthew and Elise last year in August at the annual bridal fair at Anchorage in Port Stephens. We clicked straight away and I was thrilled to be shooting their special day at one of my favourite venues. They did not want a huge affair with all the bells and whistles instead they invited 40 of their closest family and friends to share in a more intimate day. To match the low key event Elise opted for a beautiful simple gown designed and made by Grace Loves Lace. It was a design that she loved the minute she saw it and she flew with her mum up to Brisbane to get personally fitted in store. The amazing gown was so simple but yet so elegant, I loved the perfectly fitted lace bodice, she looked like a Grecian goddess. With mother nature not deciding what she wanted that day sun? rain? wind? it was a last minute decision to hold the ceremony inside. However the skies cleared for the rest of the afternoon and we were able to get out to the breakwall and marina for some beautiful photos of the newly married couple. We all had out fingers crossed for a beautiful sunset and as if mother nature was apologizing for the earlier weather the sky lit up just long enough for us to capture some magic.
