Scottish Wedding Hunter Valley
It’s been a long time since we have photographed a Scottish wedding so I was thrilled when Lochlan & Allie booked me to capture their special day. We started the day photographing Lochlan and the boys getting ready at a stunning little cottage that was part of Hunter River Retreat. I loved all the Scottish details that I got to photograph and didn’t the boys look fabulous in their kilts. After spending the morning with the boys we met up with Allie and the girls at Harringan’s Irish Pub. The girls looked amazing, Allie in a stunning soft pink wedding dress and the girls in gold sequin dresses. The ceremony was held at the Hunter Valley Gardens chapel. The sound of Bagpipes welcomed Allie and the girls right up to the front doors of the chapel setting the scene for everyone inside. Phil Greentree conducted a very special service honouring many of the traditional customs that are part of a Scottish wedding ceremony. It was a very dark overcast afternoon so we made really good use of the light we had left for some beautiful photos around Hunter Valley Gardens. Before we heading into the Garden Terrace for the reception we had a play in the dark and the rain to create some beautiful romantic night shots. Thank you Lochlan and Allie for a truly wonderful day we loved being a part of it.
