Most people spend Australia Day hanging with family and friends, enjoying bbq’s, drinking a little too much and even creating huge slip and slides for the whole neighbourhood to have fun with. But this Australia Day we were celebrating in another way, we got to witness and photograph the love story of Adam and Aimee. After a chance meeting one late night at a club in town 12 years earlier the time had come for them to tie the knot. It was a slightly different day with a lunch time ceremony at St Marys Star of the Sea in Newcastle (can’t believe we shot at two Star of the Sea Churches in one weekend, freaky) and then off to town for photos. The light was quite harsh at this time of the day but we found some great little spots around town particularly in Civic Park where we used the beautiful strong light to our advantage. The reception started early at the Mereweather Surf House and all the formalities were done before the sun went down which left loads of time for dancing the night away. Thank you Adam and Aimee for a fabulous day. Enjoy your beautiful moments! x
